In their inaugural appearance at the National Association of Convenience Stores, America’s top seller of frozen Mexican dishes wanted to make a big impression. The theme of the exhibit was “Modern Mexican,” which offered a fresh look and feel with an emphasis on Ruiz Foods’ Tornados and El Monterey brands. In order to create buzz and drive traffic, Ruiz Foods recruited celebrity NASCAR driver Ryan Newman for photo opportunities with booth visitors. On-the-spot printing allowed booth visitors to pick up their pictures onsite and iPad stations made it easy for Ruiz Foods to gather valuable customer data.
